thin beams of light
break the darkness
as i lay in contemplation
the moment perfect
warm and pure
yet through the door
she lies in tatters
and i am helpless
to fix her
i thought to try
but it is not for me
that which is crooked
cannot be made straight
except by the one who believes
change must come
and so i lie
the bliss of the moment unbroken
and hope that she will start
to believe
